SAA World Record Art Challenge

AS SEEN ON THE BBC: Come and see the World Record Art Challenge, an exhibition of over 32,000 artworks, all the size of a credit card – it’s a jawdropping collection of originality and imagination! If you entered last year, you’ll be able to come and see your mini masterpiece alongside thousands of other record breakers. The exhibition, organised by the SAA, has captured the imagination of thousands of people – so come and see it for yourself! Experience the full impact of thousands of mini masterpieces in the World Record Art Challenge Exhibition!

Linda Wain - Procolour

Join this renowned wildlife and scenery artist for a 45 minute workshop painting a fly Agaric mushroom (11.15 am) or a lions eye (1.30pm). Sessions cost just £5 per person refundable against the purchase of 8 Procolour paints. You’ll work from a supplied pre drawn outline and have all materials provided.

Procolour is a ‘semi liquid acrylic’ that can perform as a watercolour, gouache or a very smooth, matt finish acrylic (unlike tube acrylic). Procolour is used by both amateur and professional artists around the world. Sessions suitable for all abilities over 10 years old.

Join leading TV artists, Jeremy Ford, Matthew Palmer, Fraser Scarfe & Charles Evans, as they share their handy hints and top techniques in a series of free Painting Workshops and Demonstrations. Bag yourself a bargain in the SAA Home Shop with discounts of up to 50%.

Pyrography Workshops

One of the country’s leading Pyrography Artists, Bob Neill will be hosting a series of hands-on workshops, plus showcasing his work, techniques and designs.

There will be a variety of workshops throughout the show this winter, hosted by some of the industry’s best known names, including: The Art Shop Skipton with the Derwent Experience and see a popular television artist demonstrate the fascinating Pebeo Mixed Media Live. Linda Wain-Procolour will also be returning with her enviable skills.

Chinese Brush Painting Society

The society’s aim is to inform and encourage the ancient art of Chinese Brush Painting, both free style and fine line. If you wish to have a go yourself, members will be on hand to show you the basics of this joyful style of painting.
